Quality over Quantity of Friends

 

The Quality of friendship you have needs to be reviewed regularly.

Their are friends that will never miss your events, friends that wish you well and friends that are invested in your "personal success".

Identifying and categorizing each and understanding your role in their own lives is very important.

Expecting to bring onboard a fair weather friend on as an investment partner can be catastrophic and of course will lead to heartbreaks.

A well wisher friend will help you with referrals but is not going to partner with you in a venture.

It is perfectly okay to help a fair weather friend with an opportunity to better their lives, however when the chips are down for you, do not expect much from them cos they are who they are.

A friend(s) invested in your success are best business associates and offer the best business advice.

Identify and categorize early. It keeps you in a position of power cos you know who to carry along as you broker your deals. You will will form a better circle of quality friends. The other categories of friends will always be there to do what they do best - attend events and wish you well.

Pre & Post Covi19: Lessons Learnt

 

As the world was brought to its knees in 2020 by the #covid19 epidemic, my business was worse hit. From flight cancellations to refund requests to delayed airline refunds, then there is the case of credit gone bad and debtors refusing to pay anything till date and finally zero travel request during the world wide lockdowns. I dare say the travel business was worse hit.

On the flip side, I had a good 6months to bond with my wife and children, but being a man, I had to worry about the financial implications of an uncertain travel future. Feeding, internet, power and ensuring education for the children were key during the lockdown.

In January 2021, I made up my mind to learn something new. Something that would ensure income whether the world was in lockdown or not. So I enrolled for Forex Trading. I spent a good 3 months learning Currency and then I dabbled into Indices Trading and that was where I struck gold.

It has been an amazing experience for me as I am focused on grooming a targeted 500 youths this year on forex trading.

It does has its ups and downs and yes it is a money market so you are either making or loosing money.

As the world moves towards a #postcovid19 era, and with all the push for vaccination and the incumbent fears of pessimist and fear mongers, I look towards a better world as borders are opened. The world needs to reconnect but we need to join hands to reduce the spread and mutations of the covid virus.

In all, we owe it to ourselves to improve ourselves. We had time to be better. As the world staggers economically, I do hope and pray that we have improved upon ourselves enough as to be at a point of advantage.
